Climate Action Now

BizInVermont is a collaborative endeavor principally organized by David Stember, and supported by an ad hoc community of dedicated and talented individuals--each bringing their finely honed skills to the project at hand.

One of the powerful lessons of participating in change at any level is that it is essentially a group effort. We really only change in relation to and with the cooperation of the people we are surrounded by. We can want change, we can initiate change, but we cannot impose change successfully. And, by it’s very definition, social change—be it in relationship, family, business, community or on a national or international scale—is an entirely participative process. Thus, the process of building and successfully fielding collaborative partnerships to accomplish this work is both an essential and mmensely enjoyable aspect of the work we all do.

Being a quintessential Experiential Learner, I have always been far less concerned about how any given position or undertaking might orientate to my resume or a traditional career path, and much more interested in how my next engagement forms the “next step” in a continuing journey of personal learning and growth. From this perspective the partial list of engagements that follows might best be seen as a tapestry woven over time from a wide variety of experiences and learning opportunities.
